award dan hidangan
|
|

2) Add in the zest and orange juice, followed by the mixture of flour, baking powder and bicarbonate powder which had been sieve first.
3) Pour in the chocolate chips and mix well.
4) Rest the dough for a while and shape the cookies.
5) Bake in preheated oven of 175 degrees celcious for about 15 minutes.
*I added some chopped almond to the cookies, taste even better!

What a deadly beauty!
|
|
This little butterfly just wouldn't fly off even when my lens came as close as 5cm away, so I just happily click away. Later on I found out that this beauty can excrete poisonous liquid to harm the predators! no wonder it didn't even move!

Special thanks to EDORAS for giving me this award, and now now I must give it to 5 deserving recipients....

Red red cherries
|
|
Saw this cherry tree growing at HortPark recently, and since these are my favorite fruits, I simply could not resist plucking one ripe cherry and pop the unwashed fruit into my mouth. I was expecting it to be sweet and juicy like the store bought, but it was not to be. The sourness made me spit it out immediately!
I think the fruits needed much cooler temperature for them to ripen sweetly, just like the grapes.
I'll just stick to the store bought cherries from now on, since it's in season right now it's easily available in the supermarkets and fruit vendors. But can be quiet expensive! 1 kg can cost as much as S$16, but once you popped one in, there's no stopping! very addictive! Good thing the sons and husband don't like them, which mean I get to eat all.

Alexandra Arch
|
|
The Bridge, with it's curve deck and tilted arch, spans Alexandra Road like an open leave. On the Hydrabad Road, the pedestrian bridge is connected to HortPark while on the other side will link all the way to the Henderson Wave which is connecting the two hills of Mt Faber and Telok Belangah Hill.
Rising 15 metre above the Alexandra Road, bridge forms an uninterrupted network of linkages for the public to enjoy convenient access to nature. The 80 m long bridge is part of the 1600 m elevated Alexandra Arch pedestrian walkway that has opened a portal to the treasury of natural heritage in Singapore.
Just be prepared with a good walking shoes, drinks and an umbrella if you're attemping to walk the whole journey towards Mt Faber, It's really a loooooooooonnnnnnnnggggg walk. Or be like me, walk a short stretch armed with a good camera and come back another day to walk another part of the elevated bridge.
At night, the bridge dazzles with colour changing LED light everyday between 7pm to 2.am.
