Vintage cars
When there's an exhibitions on vintage cars recently, I didn't pass on the oppurtunity to photographed them even when the family didn't want to tag along with me. Never mind about the that, I met another lady who went there on her own too, and we kind of keep each other company while photographing....

Bye Bye Balloon
Launched at a cost of S$2.5 million, the DHL Balloon was a joint venture by Aerophile Balloon Singapore Pte and Vertical Adventure Pte Ltd, and took one year to plan. The project was sponsored by global courier, freight and logistics company DHL, for which it gets exclusive advertising space on the balloon. The business partners involved in the project worked with the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), Singapore Land Authority and Singapore Tourism Board to allow public advertising on the balloon, and arrange for the lease for the site at over S$1 million for two years] S$800,000 was spent priming the ground for the balloon, and another S$60,000 for the helium The DHL Balloon measures 22 metres in diameter, and is filled with 6,500 cubic metres of helium.
As the balloon was anchored to the ground with a metal cable, it only ascended and descended vertically. The DHL Balloon was approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore to ascend to a maximum altitude of 180 metres, or around 48 stories. Flights to either 150 metres or 180 metres are offered. It can accommodate a maximum of 29 passengers in its gondola.
The balloon, which flies between two to six times an hour, was operated by a pilot within the gondola. A hydro-electric winch system controls take-off and landing As a safety measure, the balloon was not flown when there is lightning, rain, or when the wind speed exceeded five knots on the ground, as measured by an anemometer, on location
On 19 April 2006, 40 crew members took 12 hours to inflate the French-made balloon, which took its first passengers in May 2006. The DHL Balloon was operated by Singapore Ducktours, a Singapore company which also offers city tours on its amphibious vehicles. As of September 2007, more than 150,000 people have ridden on the DHL Balloon, 70% of whom are tourists. Up to 1,000 people ride the balloon on weekends. Its ridership is the highest among all of Aerophile's balloons.
With the lease expired on August 2008 due to the plans for future new Bugis MRT station, the balloon relocated to Valencia, France on 3rd October 2008 for cleaning and servicing, and will probably make an appearance in another country. With the recent opening of the Singapore Flyer, this helium balloon has lost it’s appeal to the public.

yellow roses
I saw one of my neighbour had just bought a pot of yellow roses, I grabbed my camera and took a few shots without her knowledge. Well, her door is closed and she's probably not at home so why bother knocking , after all this is not the first time I took photos of her plant/flowers. Anyway the flowers are in public space at the common corridor so I didn't actually tresspassing.....neither did I steal or disturb the flowers....so kira ok lah tu, kan?

The simple and cheap toy that can keep the little one amused for hours.....I used to play with them too when younger, so did my 2 sons . Now the baton being passed to my little niece and her brother. I'm sure this little toy will still be around when they have kids on their own in future.

The Legend, Port Dickson
A short trip to Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan recently. We stayed at The Legend Water Chalet , the hotel with superb service and well maintained facilities. We specially requested for the rooms over the sea, and got upgraded to the last row of room facing the open sea due to the hotel being fully booked. This thrilled my brother because he can just throw the fishing rod over the balcony to fish . He did managed to caught few fishes, but he let them go after capturing his catch on camera. He wasn't the only fisherman there, I saw a few anglers fishing near our room, since their room didn't face the open sea, they went to open deck to fish.
While my brother fished, his family, my mom and me went around the hotel enjoying the facilities there. Hubby didn't come with me because he couldn't get leave and the 2 sons simply doesn't want to go! Can't force them anymore since they are already in their 20s.I let them 'jaga' the home while I have my break!
Will post more photos soon, since this 10 pictures took me hours to upload, really getting on my nerve!

kena ada benda ni sebelum log into internet banking.
