The many faces of instant prata
Instant prata is a must have item in my freezer, beside eating them with curries, I like to use the instant prata like the puff pastry. It's a bit tricky to use the instant prata if it's totaly thawed, so I worked with a semi defrosted dough. Much easier to handle and I have to be quick. Need to pop the dough back in the fridge in between handling too. The plastic that comes with the dough should not be removed until it'sput into the baking tray or into the frying pan.
prata with kheema ( mince meat curry)
with hot dog filling and mincemeat with potatoes filling.
instant roti boyan, with filling of potatoes and eggs. This one is pan fried instead of baking, and eaten with sambal tumis
with tuna filling, baked in the oven.

I'm not much of a sweets person, but when someone bought them for me, I definitely won't say no.
It taste much sweeter when the person who bought them is my darling son. Of course being a good mom, I shared them with him.

Sentosa Flowers 2009
This annual flower festival was organised in conjunction with the Lunar New Year celebrations in Sentosa Island for about a week. Ever since the first one was held in 2005, I've yet to give this festival a miss.
More macros of the flowers coming soon....

Wi-Fi
Stay connected while waiting for the MRT train....
and it's all free , all you need is the WI-FI handphone or a laptop...or even the PSP. Quiet a number of eateries like the McD, Star Bucks, offer free WiFi in their outlet to patrons.
of course you can always stay connected everywhere in public here, but need to pay lah , not free.

Meet up for mummies
An online friend came back from Taiwan recently had requested a meet up of mummies who's was very interested in photography at the nearby Bottle Tree Park in Yishun. We 'met' in an online parenting forum specially catered to the local moms here. Even though it was a first time meeting for some of us, the day went by without any dull moments because the moms can really talk non stop, online or offline!
Even though some of the moms and me had already been to this place several times, we could not pass off the opportunity of meeting some friends for the first time.
Nothing comes between me and my camera, not even my coach handbag!
Mummies in action.

Henderson Waves.
Henderson Waves
Distance: 0.3 km
Walking Time: 05 mins
At 36 metres above Henderson Road, Henderson Waves is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. It was built to connect the two hills of Mount Faber and Telok Blangah Hill.
The bridge has a unique wave-form made up of seven undulating curved steel “ribs” that alternately rise over and under its deck. The curved “ribs” form alcoves that function as shelters with seats within. But of course it doesn't really shelters one from the rain.
Slats of yellow balau wood, an all-weather timber found in South-East Asia, are used in the decking. Look out for carvings on the slats marking the height you are at on various points along the bridge.
The wave-forms will be lit with attractive LED light from 7pm to 2am daily, giving the bridge an illuminative glow.
