relaxing time...
A short R & R at the nearby island of Batam , Indonesia last weekend with hubby's colleagues and wives. But I think it's the wives that had more fun because we've been shopping and going for massages and facials while the men just take it easy....with prices much much cheaper compared to Singapore, who could blame them...

Formula Drifting
Beside the roadshow of Formula One which is coming in Sept 08, I recently had a chance to watch Formula Drifting at the recent car show in Singapore Expo last weekend. Just what is Formula Drifting? It's high skil, high powered motorsport that calls for drivers to control the car while it slides sideways at high speed through a marked course. It is similar to rally racing but it is done on a close course and judge on execution and style rather than who finishes the course fastest.
There will be another Formula Drifting race in September, somewhere in Changi.
It was adereline pumping just watching the drivers go around the course, but the smell of burning tyre gave me slight nousea! but I still managed to stay for a while just to captured the moments in photos. Enjoy them people!

Jacob Ballas Children's garden
Jacob Ballas Children's Garden is Asia's first children's garden. Dedicated to all children of Singapore, it is designed to provide unique discovery and learning experiences in a garden setting.
Through play and exploration, the Children's Garden will cultivate an appreciation for plants, nature and the environment among the young. It meets the demands for nature education in an increasingly sophisticated tropical Garden City. Developed along the theme "All Life On Earth Depends on Plants", it is created as a unique and interactive fun place where children up to 12 years of age can discover how plants provide their daily needs. It also gives children a first introduction to the life sciences - an important branch of science as Singapore embarks on life sciences research as a new thrust for economic growth.
Beside learning experience for the kids , there's a wet area and a sand pit for them to have fun in. Now this is what attract the kids there in the first place!!
Some friends with their young kids and I went to this garden yesterday, weather's great , didn't rain and wasn't full sunny day so it's just perfect for an outdoor meetup. While the kids had fun running around, the moms do what else but what they are good at , that's taking photos of almost everything!!

They are still around?
I didn't realise these things are still around....I mean, almost 7 years ago my younger son was so into this pokemon thingy and began to amass a big collection of these figurines/ cards/ posters which he finally gave them away a few years ago, being outgrown them already..........I just happend to see this show at a mall recently, so perhaps it's just another 'recycle' toys, just like Power Rangers, Teenage Ninja Turtle, Alvin and the chipmunks.....all these were hot toys/ cartoons years ago!
With school holidays now, almost all malls have a special show for the kids especially on weekends. A great tactic by the malls to attract kids and parents there to see the show and buying the toys afterwards. Anyway with erratic weather we're having right now, the shopping centre is a safest place to be, no need to be caught in the unpredictable rain but definately not safe to the pocket!!!

Let's go out.....
Tak kisah lah kalau kat luar sana tu nak hujan lebat...

cahaya yang berkilau kilauan....
Makin malas nak upload gambar2 kat sini, dah lah cuma boleh muat naik ( upload) 6 gambar sekali masa, kadang kala lambat pulak tu.....sekarang ni dah asyik berumah tangga kat multiply aje, dan beberapa forum sampai tak ada masa nak upload gambar kat sini. Tapi tetap melawat FP kawan2 yang lain....
.

My kampung
Welcome to my kampung in Singapore! I've been staying here for almost 29 years now, love this place very much. With market/minimarket/shops/food court/clinics just across the main road, some open on a 24hours basis, who want to live somewhere else? Plus there's primary and secondary within walking distance.....and the MRT is just a few bus stop away...this is home to me!
