People watching on a sunday afternoon- part 1

Hubby and I went to East Coast Beach on sunday to people-watch, and managed to catch some actions. Saw people cable-sky around the enclosed lake and youngsters having fun with skimboarding. Will upload more photos later, having problems uploading photos right now, not sure it's my pc or is it the server having pms right now....

strickly no smoking here...

Before you decide to strike that match to lit the cigarette, look around for this sign. You can't smoke in lots of places nowaday including the non aircon food court like this. But if you still insist, be prepare to fork out the fine of a few hundred dollars! we're not called a 'fine' country for nothing you know, when it hit the pocket badly, that's when the messages get across.

Right now, there's already an enforced rule of no smoking in any aircon places which including offices, banks, restautants, airport, public transportations.......for open air food courts/outlets and this is a new rule. Some makan place, a small area is set up outdoor for smoking zone, some strictly no smoking at it's premises at all. Even some night entertainment outlets are also enforcing this rule. So smokers now have less space to share with the non smoker!

Red azaleas and Peach Blossom

Look what I saw at the nursery? azaleas and peach blossom! these are more suitable in temperate climate, definately don't grow well in tropical Singapore but the nursery purposely bring them over for the Chinese New Year celebrations. I was told these plants need to be wated with ice water and will only lasted a few weeks. And the price? I saw one big pot selling for S$188 and already there's a 'SOLD' sign attached to it. I'm sure the bigger the plant is with more flowers blooming, sure to cost more than that!
Since I definately can't afford and won't buy these, I do the next best thing.....take photos lah!! those are free.....with permission from the nursery's owner of course.

A short R & R at the nearby island of Batam , Indonesia last weekend with hubby's colleagues and wives. But I think it's the wives that had more fun because we've been shopping and going for massages and facials while the men just take it easy....with prices much much cheaper compared to Singapore, who could blame them...
